Food & Beverage Photography. Most often a jargon that most F&B brands struggle to navigate. Communication of a brand's visual identity is perhaps multifaceted and a very tricky process. Good pictures of the product are only starting points in building a unique brand language.
In Dubai and the Middle East, food photography is fairly a newer concept. Food photographers who particularly specialize in this genre are a much smaller yet growing tribe. So, if someone in your office knows a person with a cool camera, who does very basic photographs and charges very economically for a ton of photographs, might seem like the right person for your next F&B campaign, this approach is most definitely destined to fail.
Photographing food is a science. It encapsulates the study of light, its direction, its quality. Study of textures and colours; the choice of lenses is a crucial aspect of food photography.
